A Place for Contemplation
The name is something of a axiom, but don’t let that fool you! Under Japanese occupation the park’s primary buildings used to be old police station dormitories. Since then, these have been renovated to create a calming, intimate experience of the written word. Besides the lovingly restored woodwork, poems, calligraphy and folktales deck the walls throughout. With a convenient location to other city sights, Taichung Literature Park is a rare gem to those who find it.
Location
Just a few minutes to the north Liuchuan River park has a nice river side stroll. Taichung’s Fifth Market next door offers plenty of bites to eat.
